mobeus
have now cast on my mobeus
I did not use the instructions in the knitting magazine but used the one from cat bordhis wonderful book magical knitting
It worked
now I am using double knitting on a 6.50 circular needle lenght 60ins
I am just doing plain knitting as I have not knittied for years and never on a circular
I am hooked
I plan on buying some denise needles -the ones that you join all together to get the lenght you want
hopefully in a week or so I will be confident enough to use the eyelash type yarn and make a huge brown-ish one to go with my new trouser and tops in that colour
colours
now my favourite colours are blues purlples and greens with a hint of hot pink, all clear and zingy, but
last year we went to stokesay castle , a fortified very old manor house and I saw these tiles.I have now bought lots of fabrics in browns-dark chocolate like these very old tiles ,creams and such.I never thought I would wear what I always thought to be boring beigey neutrals.however I am still drawn to purples and aquas.we are lucky cos although my wardrobe co-ordinates well and so nothing will go with my sew colours ,I can soon remedy that with a visit to the fabric shop

these trousers are amazing ,taken at the V&A when philip took me to the couture exhibition, was disappointed in the fashion gallery this tiem -I know they have to change it around, but the exhibition was wonderful and had me purring.I loved the oriental garments in the other sections and just wanted to look how they were constructed.thank you V&A
