check out the fourth diagram,this is what I learned as a mantua makers seam.I use it a lot instead of a french seam,as it does not twist and can be used on curves and is very useful on armholes,now I am going to look for the book I took this from,I think it will be either an old vogue or readers digest

I have now finished my second brown top and I really like it-photos up next week
I am happy with my new colours and to make things even more wonderful I would need a brown coat made in soft ,drapey fabric and in the wondercoat pattern
I know my sister has one ,I have a fuchia one and a black one
now my sister and I do make upi the same pattern frequently but never in the same colour.....she has worn hers about three times and it now sits proudly in my wardrobe!!!YES I mentioned to her would she mind if I made one and she gave me hers!!! I owuld never find such perfect fabric
also had a late christmas pressie -pinkish gloves!! I say pinkish cos they have a beig-y delicate look to them -pink in my wardrobe is always very bright-think shapparelli-cant spell!! anyway they go with my new colours
