altered cami knicks

this originally had no lace at the waist, when we cloed I wanted to wear it,it was a cami knicker that was too short in the body for me ,so I chopped it at the waist and inserted stretch lace, the removed the gusset so I had a mini slip/long cami

slip not sampled

this is made from a direct draft from a fifties book, that is not cut from a block but drawn directly on paper.we did not sample it as it is not smooth on a modern figure, the bust line needed too much tweeking

knicker sample

these were made as a sample, they are silk, remember this was over twenty five years ago when lace was fashionable.we made samples like these from silk to show our work,we also made wearable toiles, they were from synthetics and worn and washed by us and our friends to test how comfy they were etc.we have only just found some of these samples again ,so they are in quite good condition, some were altered to make them easier for us to wear after we closed the business.some wearable toiles are a bit tatty now but I have put them up to show what you can do with just a basic block, all designs and patterns exect a couple of commercial ones are designed and made by us
