a cocoon

It is very heavy ,but feels luxurious on,and I think it looks better on floozie than my last work
I put the bias petticoat underneath as I had not time to make another garment and needed to get the white stuff out quickly
the photos are not the best as they were taken quickly with my tablet ,then emailed to me then placed in picasa......
this looks awful
was so upset that this looks really really crappy,I worked hard on it and on a person it looks great
the camisole is cut on the bias and has french seams. The bust detail is stitched from the right side with a pin stitch ,using silk thread
The dress dummy is a vintage one with a small-32 inch bust and a small22 waist-we were all like that once, soo long ago
So "the floozie"as we call the dress model-she does not mind dropping her clothing in public,is gorgeous but she does not do so well when the garment fits a 34 bust
Thefull length waist petti is also cut on the bias with french seams and a bias binding waist finish and hand rolled hem
the kimono is stitched with french seams, and hand rolled hems and prick stitch patch pockets
The ensemble feels soft and silky and just flows through your fingers when you touch it
However it looks dim and dreary on the stand
When I have the craft stall,I will display it better, twisted over a vintage hat box,and hope it will look better
All in all I am not disappointed in the garments,I know that the camisole fits beautifully as it is an old design that has sold well in the past, but I just hate the look it has on the stand and that makes me feel sad
