Hello Jan, This is Cathy, I dropped in via your invite from yahoogroup, sewingroom. Thank you for sharing your thoughts and photos. My condolences regarding Pookie. So difficult to lose a friend. We share interest in vintage. Your coat is marvelous. I love the color. I also have a vintage coat, from the early 60s, red cashmere, made by a professional. It is very comfortable. My pattern collection contains vintage apparel which I hope to actually sew. NOT HOPE, which I WILL sew, someday. You say you also like music from the 30s, 40s (or was it 40s and 50s) Do you mean jazz; swing, Charlie Parker, Ella F. Like that? Jazz is another of my great interests. Hope to hear much more from you, here and at the group. Cathy..... I should mention J. Coltrane who is my absolute favorite.
I would love to learn this also, but am having a hard time with it.
