Love seeing the photos of all the pretty lingerie. This vintage bra looks very structured - almost corset-like. Is it a strapless?

every seam is boned with spiral boning and yes it is strapless, hopes this helps, the bra is now in storage ,so I have not got it in front of me know, let me know if you want a better photo or any more details and I can get it out, jane

So, with all the structure and all, why do you call it a bra rather than a corset or a corselette as I've seen that they used to do? Just wondering if there's something I'm missing or if it's a matter of a change of terms. that seems to happen every couple decades. LOL

kitty, this is definatly a bra ,not a corset or corselette, perhaps it is a language thing,a corset is much more structured and will really alter your body, here we usually think of a corselette as having some sort of stretch fabric in,hope this helps

Ok, thanks, that's what I wanted to know. I ordered a really great corset a few years ago, but I told the maker I didn't want shape altering, except a bit of smoothing. for the rest I really wanted it to be just about the same as my regular measurements just support. sounds like what you have, but with my proportions, I definitely needed the structure. I wish I could make one myself. I mean I know I have the skills to begin, but not the finger strength to put it all together.
